I have another “oldie but goodie” for you today, and since everyone seems to be watching their weight these days I figured what better recipe to revamp than my amazing no-fuss strawberry basil smoothie!
It’s a perfect blend of creamy goodness and fresh flavors that wakes you right up!
You won’t be sad you tried it!
It’s finally Spring!
Here in the south it still doesn’t look or feel like it…but the news says it is so I guess I’ll play along. 🙂
The weather may not have gotten the memo that its Spring, but my taste buds sure did! I love the bright, fresh flavors of springtime foods even more than I love the warmer temps…ok, maybe not more than, but defiantly as much as.
That’s why I am super excited to share this spring inspired smoothie that combines my 2 personal favorites of Spring, strawberries and basil.
Here’s what your gonna need:
1 cup frozen strawberries
6 ounce container of plain greek yogurt
1/4 to 1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of basil
1/2 tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon honey (to taste)
Here’s what your gonna do:
Combine all ingredients but the milk in a blender.
Turn on blender and add milk a little at a time until smooth.
Pour into a glass and enjoy a little Spring in your mouth.
