Hey there, sweetie!
A few weeks ago I shared one of my favorite herb compound butter recipes with you, and I also shared that I used to struggle with ways to use leftover compound butter…
But not anymore!
Once I started looking, I found oodles of ways to use compound butter, and I thought I would pass on my findings and compile a few of my favorites here!
So, without further adieu…
It makes homemade rice pilaf a snap!
It easily adds flavor to mac and cheese! Just replace compound butter with the regular butter in the recipe and BAM! Big flavor pop.
It makes eggs amazing! Add a dollop to the pan before frying or scrambling and you will never use plain butter again!
It gives grilled cheese sandwiches grown up flavor. Melt a tablespoon in the pan as it heats up or let it come to room temp and smear on both sides of your bread and voila! Delish!
It makes veggie sides super simple! Add chucks of the herb butter to your favorite veggies, seal in an aluminum packet and throw on the grill or in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
It makes store bought bread taste homemade! Just slap some compound butter on and pop it in the oven (at 350 degrees) for about 5 minutes, until the butter has melted and browned slightly and serve!
It is perfect for quick and easy seafood meals!
It keeps homemade croutons simple! Just replace the olive oil with compound butter and toast away!
It adds quick, fresh flavor to roasted or sauteed veggies. Once the veggies are sauteed, broiled, roasted (etc…) toss them in some melted herb butter for a little bonus flavor!
So did, I miss any? I’d love to hear how you use your compound butter!
