Happy almost weekend, sweetie!
And, as the Pinterest pumpkin parade has not so subtly reminded me…happy almost Fall!
Now, it is with some hesitance that I say farewell to the astronomically high humidity and smothering heat of the southern summer, because quite frankly…I really like blueberries. 🙂
And watermelon, and peaches and a million other summer flavors. but all good things must come to an end… and luckily there are a million other delicious Fall flavors waiting to replace them!
So, in an effort to say hello and goodbye to my two favorite seasons, I decided to create a cocktail ( happy almost weekend, indeed) that combined my favorite flavors from those seasons..and whaddaya know, its amazing!
Here’s what you’re gonna need:
1.5 ounces blueberry vodka
4 ounces ginger ale
fresh lime and blueberries
Here’s what you’re gonna do:
Combine the ginger ale and blueberry vodka in a glass filled with ice.
A spicier ginger ale is best for this recipe because the blueberry vodka is pretty sweet. One of my favorites is Red Rock because it is super gingery and just the right amount of sweet.
Add the juice from 1 or 2 lime wedges and stir everything up.
Serve with a fresh lime wedge and blueberries for garnish.
Serve and enjoy!
