A few weeks ago I shared an updated bbq seasoning mix that is super handy to keep…well, on hand, and this taco seasoning is just as…um…handy, to keep… on hand.
Which is why I decided to revamp and reshare it with you today!
I always have a mason jar full of it in the pantry and as you have probably noticed, I love adding it to just about everything. I suggest doubling or tripling the recipe since it stays fresh as long as its sealed- but I have a feeling you wont need to store it for too long! 😉
Hello again, Sweetie!
Yesterday I shared some super scrumptious lamb tacos with you but I forgot to mention one little thing.
Don’t. Buy. Taco seasoning.
As I’m sure you know (because you haven’t been living under a rock) pinterest is full of recipes for homemade taco seasoning. And I’m going to add one more, cause it’s super easy…and I like the sound of my own voice…or keyboard?
Either way. Don’t buy it, don’t buy it, don’t buy it. The flavor is well worth the 30 seconds it will take you to measure and mix the ingredients, and lets face it, you’d probably hunt through the grocery store trying to find the silly little packet for longer than that anyway.
So either search the million recipes on pinterest for your perfect taco seasoning combination…or just use the one below. 🙂
Here’s what you’re gonna need:
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 and 1/2 teaspoon cumin
Here’s what you’re gonna do:
Measure. Mix. Celebrate being done.
Then use it to whip up some yummy fish tacos…
Or those lamb tacos I was telling you about.
See, told ya it was easy.
