Is it just me, or are s’mores one of mans greatest inventions? (OK, maybe second greatest after these chocolate covered bacon s’mores)
I know. You couldn’t agree more.
The only real problem with s’mores is that you have to have an open flame to make them. Because while I do love a good bon fire, they aren’t always practical…like on a Monday night at 9:55 when you get a sudden craving for chocolaty, marshmallowy goodness.
Which is why it’s so important to have some “s’more inspired” deserts (like s’more pizza) waiting in the wings to quickly and easily fill the marshmallow shaped void in your tummy.
And I’m here to tell ya, these do not disappoint! Super fast, super easy and of course, super delicious!
Here’s what you’re gonna need:
Pre-baked fillo cups (in the freezer section)
Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
Here’s what you’re gonna do:
Thaw the fillo cups and arrange them on a cookie sheet. Pre heat the oven to 425 degrees.
Add a spoonful of chocolate spread to each cup.
Using kitchen shears (or a knife) cut each marshmallow in half.
Pop a half marshmallow in each cup and place in the oven for 5-7 minutes.
Make sure you keep an eye on the s’more cups in the oven, they go from beautiful golden brown to burnt pretty quick!
The marshmallows will be nice and poofy when they first come out of the oven, but they will settle pretty quickly, just let them sit 2-3 minutes before serving them.
Drizzle a bit of the chocolate hazelnut spread on each cup and serve!
To drizzle, I put a few scoops of the spread into a sandwich bag, cut a small hole in the corner and squeeze! 🙂
