fool proof rice pilaf
Keep it Simple, Sweetie:
  • 4 tablespoons compound butter
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • parsley, for garnish (optional)
  1. Add 3 tablespoons of the compound butter and rice to a pot and saute over medium heat until the butter is melted, and the rice is coated and slightly toasted.
  2. Add the chicken stock and simmer, covered, according to rice package instructions.
  3. Once all of the liquid has been absorbed, add the remaining compound butter and stir.
  4. Add a little freshly chopped parsley and enjoy your better-than-the-box rice pilaf!
