caramel apple bundt cake #bundtbakers
  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 package butterscotch pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tart apples
  • ½ stick of butter
  • 1 ounce spiced rum (optional)
  • 1 ounce cream
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the cake mix and pudding mix.
  2. Add the wet ingredients. Mix until combined and there are no lumps.
  3. Peel and grate all 3 apples and stir into batter.
  4. Pour batter into a greased bundt pan.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick stuck in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
  6. While the cake bakes and cools, make the caramel glaze.
  7. Add the butter, rum and sugar to a pan over medium heat and stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. This will also cook the alcohol out of the rum.
  8. Bring to a boil and let bubble for about a minute- keep stirring.
  9. Remove the glaze from the heat and stir in cream. Let the caramel cool, stirring occasionally.
  10. Once the cake has cooled completely, remove from the bundt pan and place on serving plate.
  11. Drizzle with the caramel glaze.
  12. Serve and enjoy! :)
