crispy panini seared stromboli
Keep it Simple, Sweetie:
  • pizza dough (store bought or homemade)
  • 6-7 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • pepperoni
  • basil
  • your favorite marinara sauce (for dipping)
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Roll pizza dough to in as much of a rectangle as possible and cover evenly with sliced mozzarella.
  2. Layer pepperoni and chopped basil on top of cheese.
  3. Roll dough from the long end of the rectangle to create a "log".
  4. Crimp the ends to seal them and place the rolled "log" onto a pizza stone or cookie sheet, seam side down and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove the Stromboli from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes. While the Stromboli is cooling, heat up your Panini press.
  6. Once cooled, slice the Stromboli.
  7. Line the slices on your hot Panini press and close until crispy, 3-5 minutes.
  8. Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping and enjoy!
