If you are anything like me your kitchen often looks like this….
And when you aren’t getting flashed you’re probably getting guilted into “accidentally” dropping pieces of whatever you’re cooking on the floor by big brown puppy eyes. I’ve never been to culinary school, but I’m pretty sure the first lesson is “How to say no to your dog and not cry” and I don’t need a professor to tell me I’d fail.
“Technically” that x rated cutie is my parents but when he comes to visit he (clearly) has no problem making himself at home. Between him and my husband I could make a whole batch of cookies and be lucky to get 3 in the oven.
Now, I haven’t found a way to keep the people thieves out of the kitchen yet, but I do have a sure fire method to “beg-proof” your pooch….at least while you cook.
If you have a pup of your own I’m sure you’ve seen the doggie ice cream cups at your local pet store and like me, when you saw the disproportionately large price tag, said heck no (its ice cream for dogs people, not a vintage wine). So here’s a way to easily (like, really easily) make your own!
Here’s what you’re gonna need:
1 quart plain yogurt
1/2 cup peanut butter
Here’s what your gonna do:
Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
Pulse until smooth.
Pour into small plastic dishes and freeze.
Serve to your pooch and enjoy 10-15 minutes of beg free cooking!
