Coconut Lime Cookies with Coconut Oil

Aloha, Sweetie! Today I’m going to share some super-dee-duper delicious cookies with you that not only taste like a mouth vacation but as an added bonus have absolutely NO BUTTER! That’s right, ladies and gents, no butter. Now, that doesn’t mean these cookies are totally guilt free, they’re still chock full of sugar and flour and loads of other deliciously hip hugging things….but hey, every little bit helps so I’ll take the no butter. I created these cookies as part of the OXOGoodCookies, Cookies for Kids Cancer Program and it is such an honor to partner with OXO for this amazing cause! They even sent me some of their fabulous kitchen tools as part of the program… because as we all know […]

Spiced Pumpkin Bundt Cake

Hello, Sweetie! Welcome to my first recipe as a part of Bundt Bakers! #BundtBakers is a group of Bundt loving bakers who get together once a month to bake Bundts with a common ingredient or theme and this month the theme is….Autumn Harvest! I already told you guys about my love of pumpkin and the uncontrollable urge I have to add it to EVERY recipe once September hits so when I heard the theme for this month, while I was briefly tempted to try something different…I ultimately settled on my first Autumn love. The glorious pumpkin. And what tastes better with pumpkin than cinnamon, nutmeg and all the other yummy spices this time of year brings? Nothing. Obviously. Which is […]

3 Ingredient Pulled Pork

Published on September 8, 2014
easy 3 ingredient pulled pork

Howdy, Sweetie! Today I am going to share one of my favorite summer staples with you…. 3 ingredient pulled pork. So easy and soooooo delicious! Plus, its one of those meals that everyone assumes takes massive amounts of work so you’ll earn double brownie points with your family and friends. You’re welcome. Pulled pork is perfect for those end of summer get togethers cause you can do all the prep work (which is minimal) ahead of time and enjoy your company instead of slaving over a hot stove, and any leftovers can go right in the freezer for future meals! The only trick to this recipe is planning a day or two ahead so you have time […]

My husband isn’t quite the pumpkin fanatic that I am and his first question upon trying an array of pumpkin flavored baked goods was […]

No Mayo Roasted Potato Salad

No Mayo Roasted Potato Salad with Bacon

Happy Friday-before-a-long-weekend, Sweetie! I hope you have lots of fun planned for the next few days and if you have a picnic or pot luck to attend you’ve come to the right place! As most of you know, this month I celebrated the delicious miracle known as bacon with a  few bloggy friends and sadly, as August comes to end, so does Bacon Month. But I still have one more bacon filled treat to share with you and I have to admit, this is one of my favorites. I’ve never been a big potato salad fan. I don’t know if its the texture or the mayo but there’s just something about it that doesn’t scream “pick […]

Southern Pecan Pie with Bacon

Southern Pecan Pie with Bacon

Hello and happy Monday, Sweetie! Last week I told you about my first adventure mixing bacon and dessert with yummy Chocolate Covered Bacon S’mores and now that I’ve started…I can’t stop! Good ol’ fashioned pecan pie has always been a favorite at our house, especially when served slightly warm with a big scoop of ice cream on top. Melty and delicious! So when pouring over recipes trying to find classics that would taste good with a lil’ bit o’ bacon added to the mix, southern pecan pie seemed like a great place to start. Pecan pie custard has always reminded me of maple syrup in solid form and who hasn’t added extra syrup to their pancakes just […]
