free printable- “You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces - just good food from fresh ingredients.”

Happy Friday, Sweetie! This week I shared a super simple recipe for lamb tacos that are as unique and impressive as they are delicious,  which is exactly what made them the perfect inspiration for todays free printable. Download here! One of my favorite foods is fresh, homemade salsa and the only cooking skill you need to make it is knowing how to chop some veggies and stir! That’s why I love this quote… I often find myself overwhelmed by creating complicated dinners or desserts to serve when friends and family come over, but more often than not, the easier I keep it, the more everyone (including me) enjoys the meal! I could have served my tacos with 3 kinds of cheese and a […]

Homemade Taco Seasoning

Hello again, Sweetie! Yesterday I shared some super scrumptious lamb tacos with you but I forgot to mention one little thing. Don’t. Buy. Taco seasoning. Ever. As I’m sure you know (because you haven’t been living under a rock) pinterest is full of recipes for homemade taco seasoning. And I’m going to add one more, cause it’s super easy…and I like the sound of my own voice…or keyboard? Either way. Don’t buy it, don’t buy it, don’t buy it. The flavor is well worth the 30 seconds it will take you to measure and mix the ingredients, and lets face it, you’d probably hunt through the grocery store trying to find the silly little packet […]

Lamb Tacos with Mango Salsa

Howdy Sweetie! For those of you who have been tuning in for a while, it will come as no surprise to you that I love tacos. Like…a lot. And not just tacos, pretty much any form of Mexican or Latin inspired food (and yes, drink) is guaranteed to please this little lady. Which is why I am so excited about these MOUTH WATERING lamb tacos. When I got the opportunity to partner with the American Lamb Board to create an internationally inspired lamb dish I immediately knew I wanted to incorporate Latin flavors. American Lamb is known for its quality, flavor, and tenderness which makes it a perfect protein for tacos. All you have to do […]

free printable friday- fear

free printable -"In cooking you've got to have a what the hell attitude"

Happy Friday, Sweetie! Earlier this week I shared a super simple ginger tea poached pear recipe with you and I was surprised by how many comments I received about people never trying poached pears on their own because they seemed too complicated. Which is exactly why, if you haven’t already, you should RUN to your grocery store, buy a boat load of pears and try poaching them this weekend. And don’t limit yourself to the ginger tea I suggest in my (cough*very delicious*cough) recipe, poaching pears is such an exciting dessert because you can use just about any flavor liquid to cook them. Tea? Yup. Sugar water? Absolutely. Wine? You betcha! But, if you need a little more […]

Easy Ginger Poached Pears

Hey there, Sweetie! Is it starting to feel like Fall where you are? The temperature is definitely starting to drop around here and I, for one, am taking full advantage of the opportunity to do some Fall cooking. Over the last few weeks I’ve shared two of my favorite Fall recipes Spiced Pumpkin Waffles and a Caramel Apple Bundt Cake and today I’m going to tell you about another one… ginger poached pears. Now, poaching pears may seem intimidating if you haven’t tried it before,  but like everything I cook, we are going to keep it simple…and of course delicious! Let me start by saying, if you know how to boil water, then you already know how to poach […]

Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake Balls

Happy Friday, Sweetie! I have the most delicious, decadent, rich, delicious, fudgey (and did I mention delicious?) cake ball recipe to share with you today! These guys are seriously out of this world, and my favorite part? They only have 4 (count em…4!) ingredients. You. Are. Welcome. In my book, the only 2 things that taste better together than peanut butter and jelly are…you guessed it..peanut butter and chocolate! They are a match made in dessert heaven and these cake balls combine that perfection in a bite size, chocolate shell. Here’s what you’re gonna need: 1 box chocolate cake mix 1.5 cup coffee About 3/4 cup peanut butter 6-7 squares of chocolate candy coating Here’s what you’re gonna do: Pre […]
